Call for Submissions 2019‭ (‬5779‭)

The Katz Foundation and the Katz Prize Committee‭ ‬headed by

Prof‭. ‬Menachem Ben-Sasson‭, ‬

Rabbi Shlomo Dichovsky‭, ‬Rabbi Chaim Sabato‭ ‬

and Rabbi Aryeh Stern

hereby issues this call inviting submissions

for the Katz Prize‭, ‬for the year 2019‭ (‬5779‭).

‬Founded by‭ ‬Mordechai David Katz zl and Adina Katz‭ ‬

 

The prize is divided among institutions and individuals who‭, ‬by dint of their activities‭, ‬writings‭ ‬or research‭, ‬have made a significant contribution‭ ‬

to the application of Halachah and Jewish‭ ‬wisdom to modern developments‭. ‬

The prize committee also welcomes applications from organizations and individuals who have only‭ ‬recently begun to grapple with issues in modern life‭ ‬which requires the input and creativity‭ ‬of Jewish tradition‭.‬

 

Four prizes of‭ $‬25,000‭ ‬each‭, ‬will be awarded‭ ‬at a ceremony to be held in Jerusalem‭ ‬in the month of Tammuz‭, ‬2019‭.‬

‭(‬Submissions for this year's prize will not be accepted after this date‭.)

The following details must be submitted‭ ‬with each referral‭: ‬

Institutions‭: ‬the name of the institution‭, ‬its head and the year of its establishment‭. ‬

Individuals‭: ‬name of the applicant‭.‬ Include any activity and projects‭,

‬list of references and additional documentation which testifies

to the institution or individuals activities and contributions in the field‭.‬

 

The submission and attached documents should be submitted in Hebrew‭.‬
